James was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 2013 and graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2019 with a Masters of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering and also a Space Systems Certificate in 2021.  Service, integrity, and hard work are at the heart of what he strives to bring to the board.  James looks forward to the opportunity to uphold the foundational pillars Mrs. Ethel S. Abbott set forth in order to carry on her legacy to benefit the communities of Nebraska.
